I hadn't seen Simon Doubleday since our school days, now some 40 years ago. He came to stay in Agaete and fell in love with one of my paintings. He had been to Sardina a couple of days earlier and saw the painting I had done of the headland sticking out between Agaete and Sardina. He quickly snapped it up and it is now hanging gracefully in his office! Many thanks to Simon and Benita for their wonderful company during their stay on the island.
